Improving productivity through teamwork

Recent changes have enabled me to work more closely with the Project Managers at Fusework Studios. Part of this transition has required all of us to get to know each other a little better and get better at teamwork. One of the most important tasks at hand was to find a way to increase productivity to keep up with the current workload as well as the new work filtering in to the company. Most of this work required web development and this required us as a team to work on a system to be able to support our clients in a positive manner.

Here are some steps we took at improving productivity through teamwork:

  • Implemented production meetings which focus on weekly goals and milestones per project manager and per project
  • Improved reporting mechanisms in project management software
  • Weekly team sessions to focus on training and improving project management and development methods

We are still monitoring our progress closely, but as a team we are experiencing very positive results. In the past three weeks our team have completed and launched eight different projects. We are also very close to finishing with several others. I’m very proud of our team, and I believe this shows through teamwork and determination a small group is very capable of extraordinary results.
