Justin.tv makes streaming easy

In my spare time I play some video games to get my mind off things as well as be a part of an active community and have a good time. Many members including myself took the time to set up a channel on Justin.tv to stream the games as we play them. Initially I wondered to myself if I was wasting my time, but as I take the time to understand social media and social networking I figured it was a great opportunity to learn how to do video on the internet.

Justin.tv makes it very easy to create live video and broadcast to anyone in the world current events that are happening. A large part of the JTV community includes video games and streams of such games. There is a strong social community in the background of this site, and it makes it easy for users to become fans of a channel or share their channels with others. You can also create "clips" from your streams to keep important or exciting parts of your stream for later viewing.

An important feature of JTV is the use of sharing across multiple social networks. The three key social networks you can share to are Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. You can also provide links via email or HTML of your web site, and there is an embed code provided so you can place your channel directly into a web page.

Justin.tv is not just for video games. Some amateur webisodes are produced and streamed daily. Some underground musical artists or comedians use it daily. Businesses can use this site and others much like it to stream important meetings or messages to their customers. I urge anyone interested in streaming video content to check out sites like this.
